Sage Flora is the result of more than fifteen years and over 100,000 miles of travel, seeking the secrets of nature from Texas to Washington state, through western Canada, Alaska and Hawaii, and in European countries such as Spain and Germany. Sage, which means wise or wisdom, and Flora, which denotes vegetation of all kinds, speaks of those things which we can learn from nature, and be inspired to accomplish.
I am passionate, even obsessed, with the intricacies of pattern, color and diversity from the unending array of beauty found in the natural creation. I can take a picture on one day, and the next day that picture is gone, with something completely different taking its place. A new curl, a new color, a new cloud passing overhead all change the vista forever. In my pictures, I seek to keep a record of things that will never be seen in exactly the same way again.
Through many trials of life, I have received peace, joy, celebration, courage, passion and freedom from photographing, editing and sharing these images. This collection is constantly evolving, as I find more interesting things in nature wherever I am, and as I edit and refine them. What you see here is merely a small sample of my ongoing collection. There are thousands of pictures to go through, and this is just the beginning! I do hope you enjoy these as much as I do...
